When I first came across Mohamad’s work, I was struck by how seamlessly he blends classical inspiration with futuristic concepts. As someone who’s deeply immersed in AI art myself, I’m always curious about how other artists get started and refine their approach. So I sat down with Mohamad to learn more about his creative journey—how he went from casually exploring AI tools to building deeply intentional, emotionally rich visual narratives.

How did you get started with AI?

My journey into AI art started in July 2023—almost by accident. I began by simply testing out AI tools to stay up to date with emerging tech, but what started as curiosity quickly turned into creative exploration. Soon, I found myself integrating AI into my design process. The early results felt more like rough sketches, but they were enough to spark ideas I could develop further using other design software. From there, things just took off.

What was the initial process like for you?

It was mostly experimental. I practiced constantly and tested different models to get the results I wanted. For each subject I worked on, I kept iterating until I landed on something that felt right.

How did you refine your technique?

I focused on specific themes—like anatomical portraits of hunger and post-futuristic environments. I studied real-world references and drew inspiration from both classical art, like Michelangelo, and modern street realism. It became a process of blending artistic intention with technical precision. For some images, I had to examine the details very closely—even reading multiple articles just to inform a single photo.

What’s next for you in the realm of AI art?

I’m currently developing a concept for a futuristic city that blends fashion, architecture, and culture into immersive visual narratives. I’m also working on a feature exploring how AI can interpret human emotions through anatomy and facial expression.
