Featured AI artist: Sabina Podjed
I first connected with Sabina through her AI artwork—bold, inventive, and full of personality. What stood out even more was her enthusiasm for learning and sharing her process with others. She’s not just experimenting with AI art; she’s actively helping shape the conversation around it. I asked her to share more about how she got started, where she draws inspiration, and where she sees this ever-evolving medium taking her next.
How did you get started with AI?
I got started with AI through MidJourney. What began as simple curiosity quickly turned into a passion for exploring how AI could be used to create powerful, imaginative visuals. I now share what I’ve learned through workshops that help others understand how to generate images with AI tools.
What was the initial process like for you?
At first, I dove headfirst into learning. I started with the MidJourney community on Facebook and explored tutorials, blogs, and video walkthroughs. Lately, I’ve been especially engaged on LinkedIn, where I’ve learned so much through conversations, shared experiments, and seeing how others are pushing the boundaries of AI art. The process has been intense—sometimes chaotic—but incredibly rewarding. My learning really accelerated through the insightful conversations and workshops hosted by The Curiosity Co-Op—they created a space for deeper reflection, idea exchange, and creative growth.
How did you refine your technique?
I refined my technique mostly through experimentation. I constantly play with different styles and enjoy “mining” SREF codes to explore and unlock new aesthetic directions. It’s a process of curiosity and discovery—testing how small changes can produce dramatically different outputs and learning what makes an image stand out.
What’s next for you in the realm of AI art?
Right now, I want to get even better at prompting. I’m focused on crafting more creative, complex, and unique image prompts. I want to keep evolving my visual storytelling and dive deeper into the subtleties of style, structure, and narrative using AI. I’m also interested in expanding my skills—possibly incorporating AI-generated video and music into my work. My goal is to stay ahead of the curve and keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI-generated art.
